Dr. Rebekah Ballard was born and raised in San Diego where she started working at her father’s orthodontic practice when she was 14. Her love for dentistry and enthusiasm for learning grew as she started assisting chairside. While she attended San Diego State University, she participated in the Wind Symphony and Marching Aztec Band playing clarinet, and received her B.S. in Biology. Dr. Ballard went to The University of Southern California for dental school and graduated in 2000. Right after graduation, she was offered an associate professor position with the pediatric mobile clinic serving several underprivileged areas in California. She also worked at CHOC Los Angeles in the dental clinic. For the past 15 Years, Dr. Ballard has practiced in Mission Viejo and is now very excited to join the Penrod Dental Care team.
When she is not helping patients smile her interest include: traveling with her husband (Lance), and playing with her rescue dog (Frodo), watching old classic movies, crafting, sewing, cooking (not baking), singing in church choir, playing organ, and piano. She also enjoys skeet shooting, fishing and camping.
